PUBG Mobile Update 0.19.0: New Map Livik | Exclusive Features | Gameplay Improvements

PUBG Mobile Update 0.19.0: New Map Livik | Exclusive Features | Gameplay Improvements: PUBG Mobile recently released the Patch Notes for its new update. The update brings us the much-awaited LIVIK Map, a spark the flame-themes gameplay and some great gameplay improvements which are not getting discussed much but caught my attention.

The Livik Map:

This map will have a nordic style i.e. design influenced by the Nordic countries. It will be a very small map of 2km x 2km. Only 52 players will drop on the map and the gameplay will last about 15 minutes. It will be fast-paced but and it will be classic mode gameplay so it will also affect your K/D and rank but you can choose the unranked classic mode to prevent that. The map, however, is still on beta phase so there will be future improvements and tweaks.

The map will have exclusive items like the Monster Truck, the P90 SMG and a new DMR Mk 12.

There will also be a Livik super firearm training event sometime in a future update.

Spark the Flame:

This is themed gameplay which will be available in the Erangel and Miramar maps. You will have a chance to enter this mode after selecting the maps.

In this mode, there will be small statues which burn after the interaction and drop supplies after burning then there are giant statues which change as the map progresses and then you'll have statue camps which will have camps where you can find supplies.

Nothing special, it's just like other events that we have seen before.

Season Warm-up Event Gameplay:

In this event, you can play with your team to gain ranking points for season 14.

Gameplay Improvements:

This setting is called combat operational setting and what it does is that it gives on/off settings for Scope and Peek buttons to rotate the camera. This will be really helpful claw players who accidentally used to move the camera as they use multiple fingers. This feature will disable the camera movement when you are touching those buttons.

There is a new pick-up setting which lets you chose whether you want to pick extended or quickdraw mag first.

Now there are more hit and damage effects in the game something that I wanted for a long time.

When the Backpack is full and the player cannot pick up an item, the item's position in the pick-up list will not change.

New Loadout attachment: Barrel Extender. This is a muzzle attachment that can be used with the vast majority of Sniper Rifles, Rifles, and SMGs. It increases the firearm's effective range and reduces the damage reduction of bullets due to distance.

The firearm damage reduction model is now layered based on operational distance. The order of effective operational distances for firearms is (from near to far): Shotguns/SMGs/Rifles/Sniper Rifles.

Settings Improvements

  • Added a tutorial on sensitivities on the Sensitivity tab.
  • Added an information page about camera control rules on the Control Settings screen.
  • Added a switch for auto pick-up of scopes. When off, scopes will not be picked up automatically even standing near the scope supplies. When on, the original auto pick-up setting will be restored.
  • Some keys can be hidden or disabled in the custom control panel now.
  • Dynamic holding switch is available in FPP Mode. With the switch on, the firearm is held at a low height when not firing, thus increasing the field of view. With the switch off, the firearm will not be lowered and will appear the same as in Arena.
  • Improved the custom control panel display.
  • Adjusted the default pick-up amount for Frag Grenades and Smoke Grenades to 1.
  • Added an effect preview for energy boost items.
So, those were all the things that I found interesting in this update. Hope you liked it. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Follow me on Instagram and as always safe battlegrounds.
