APEX LEGENDS MOBILE | Release Information | Latest News: No official release date has been confirmed, but that they’re eyeing an Apex Legends soft-launch on smartphones by the end of 2020.
Back in February 2019, Andrew Wilson, EA's CEO, announced at the financial results briefing that the battle royale shooter will be arriving on mobile devices.
“As I said earlier, we are looking at how to take the game to mobile and cross-play over time, and I also expect that this game will have tremendous value in Asia, and we’re in conversations about that,” the CEO said in response to another question regarding Apex Legends.
The firm then announced in May 2019 that a mobile version was indeed in the works.
Now, EA CEO Andrew Wilson revealed that they’re eyeing an Apex Legends soft-launch on smartphones by the end of 2020.
They have not given any exact date for this or any information regarding the regions in which it will be launched.
But the fact that they are talking about a soft-launch means that we will see a full launch only in 2021.
