PUBG MOBILE NEW ERA | Update 1.0 | Erangel 2.0: Season 15 is finally here but this season is special because it brings with it some really interesting changes to the game. These changes will include a new in-game UI, improved graphics (could be erangel 2.0) reduced lag, improved performance and all that good stuff. Basically, it is supposed to change the game so much that they are calling it the new era of PUBG Mobile.
The update will drop on the 8th of September 2020, it's size is still unclear but it is called version 1.0 and not 0.20.0. PUBG Mobile live streamed on youtube on 24th August where they announced some of the new features that they will introduce to the game.
They are also releasing some information through their other social media platform. So, let's have a look at all these upgrades one by one and see what you will be getting in the New Era of PUBG Mobile.
So, all the upgrades of version 1.0 have been categorized into 3 types: New tech, New UX and New Era.
Parachuting along with some other actions has been polished to look much better than before.
The Komorebi, the trees, the reflections in water look way better than before.
My only concern here is that all these upgrades might make the game unplayable on the lower-end or even some mid-range devices. They did, however, say that this update will increase FPS and reduce Lag for the mid-range devices in an Instagram post but we will have to see that for ourselves.
The new UI will have sections (Social, Game, Events and System Features) in the lobby as you can see in the picture. You can also customise it even further to your own personal preference.
You will also have a different page for Social, Game and Events which you can switch by swiping, I guess.
I think it will either be Erangel 2.0 because it was announced so long ago and we have been waiting for it since then or it is related to some anti-cheat system because they are posting a lot of news related to it on their website.
