PUBG Corporation Responds to PUBG MOBILE's India Ban | PUBG soon to get UNBANNED

What's up, people? Hope you all are doing great. Today I have a piece of really good news for all the PUBG Mobile & PUBG Mobile Lite players in India. Because PUBG Corp. has made an official statement regarding the PUBG ban in India.

PUBG Mobile was banned in India because 10% of their Mobile global version was owned by the Tencent which is a Chinese company. I made a complete blog post talking about that and you can check it out from here. In that post, I also talked about what PUBG corp might do to get their game unbanned in India and guess what I was right. Told you this post was coming soon.

So, here's what PUBG Corp. said

They started off by thanking the community for the overwhelming support they got from the players of India. As everyone was going nuts over this. They also mentioned that they support India's decision. Which is a good thing because if they tried to oppose or fight it, then it would waste a lot of time. And they might end up achieving nothing.

And then, they came to the actual point, they said that 'PUBG Corporation has made the decision to no longer authorize the PUBG MOBILE franchise to Tencent Games in India'. And now they will publish the game themselves in India. Which is not surprising at all. They made a whole new game (Game for Peace) when PUBG was banned by the Chinese government.

They later added that they are exploring new ways to provide their own PUBG experience in India in the near future. And they were going to do that by sustaining a localized and healthy gameplay environment for its fans. I think it means that our game and servers will be different from the rest of the country. They did not provide any info related to player data either. Currently, we don't know if we will be able to retrieve our in-game data in the new version.

Future of PUBG e-sports in India

They mentioned very little about this. It is still not very clear what exactly their next step will be. Because if they release a new game then I don't think players will be able to compete in global championships. There have to be cross-play capabilities for players to play with players from other countries.

In the last lines, they mentioned Region-based activities and e-sports. Which kind of gives me the idea that Indian players might not be able to compete in global esports. But nothing can be said right now. Let's just hope cross-play will be available.

And that was it for this post guys. Hope you liked it. Thanks for making it this far and I'll see you in the next one.
